Chronixx - Capture Land - Vinyl

In 2014, Chronixx joined synergetic producer Winta James who is well known for his “rub a dub” production styles inspired by the likes of Taxi Gang and Roots Radics on the second single from the Dread and Terrible project.

Capture Land features an endless dark-scale baseline reminiscent of Joe Gibbs and Lady Ann’s dancehall classic “Informer”. Chanting “old slave driver, time is catching up on you”, Chronixx expresses himself again as a lyrical harmonist. He transitions to original dancehall “toasting” confronting the modern effects of European imperialism on Indigenous people and the African diaspora.
